The Estonian men’s national team is a good combination of experienced players who have played in various top leagues in Europe and rising youngsters who are making their first steps in the top level of European volleyball. Estonia has been a rising power in European volleyball during the past decade. In 2009 the Baltic country made its first appearance in the CEV Volleyball European Championship Final Round. This debut ended with three losses, but two years later it was Estonia’s time to grab its first victory at EuroVolley finals as it defeated Portugal and finished in 12th place. Estonia makes its third appearance in the final round in 2015 and hopes to take a step further compared to the two previous ones. After a nine-year absence the Estonian national team also competed in the 2015 European League this summer and finished 4th. It is now ranked #44 in the world and #17 in Europe.
